Research Overview
The St Mary’s Centre is committed to supporting and producing high quality research in the fields of religion and religious education, which is peer reviewed and internationally recognised.
The St Mary’s Centre ensures that Wales is adequately represented in relevant UK and international surveys. Currently, the Centre coordinates the Welsh arm of two research projects:
- Young People’s Values Survey
- Faith and Humour Survey
In addition, the St Mary’s Centre facilitates participation in on-line surveys by providing access through links on this website.
Staff at the St Mary’s Centre have published extensively in the fields of religion and religious education, and form part of a productive and vibrant research community.

You'll find the atmosphere here peaceful and friendly, and of course there's the library itself with over 250,000 texts that cover a wide range of subjects, specialising in our core subject areas of Theology and Victorian Studies.
